You can start small and begin gaining valuable business experience and also improve your technical skills. Start developing contacts and business leads on a weekly or daily basis, with the aim of getting a few contracts to get you going.

It won't be easy. Not everyone who you contact will be interested in your proposal or solution. Rejection is a part of the game, so get use to it and just keep on moving. There will be times when you will lose motivation, but don't let this affect your momentum too much.
